The images, consisting of stills from 2016's four seasonal episodes, come in anticipation of the mini-series' debut on The CW -- the network formerly known as The WB that first aired the original series back in 2000. The gallery includes the main cast, Rory's exes, the town troubadour, Kurt's pet pig, the Dragonfly Inn's celebrity chef cameos and many more.
Since the last televised Gilmore Girls episode in 2007, the mother-daughter dramedy has taken on a second life on streaming services like Netflix. With questions left unanswered by the conclusion of the seventh season and a consistently growing fanbase in the show's mass syndication, show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino felt that a short revival bringing back all the characters from Stars Hollow was in order.
Although the celebrated producer feels she would be able to create more stories with the Gilmore Girls characters, Sherman-Palladino has gone on to write new projects like Amazon Prime's The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel, which won 20 Emmy awards in a mere three season run. The 2016 revival -- centered around Richard Gilmore's passing and Emily's strained relationship with Lorelai -- will be televised just in time for the holidays on The CW for four nights in a row starting Nov. 23.
