Marvel Comics fans have anticipated the introduction by The Gifted of a pair of classic X-Men foes ever since the name of the family at the center of the Fox drama was revealed as Strucker, too close to Von Strucker to be a coincidence. The series played up a possible connection in the series premiere, with a newspaper clip from the early 1960s recounting a terrorist attack by mutant twins. Who else could it be but Fenris? That was finally confirmed last week with the release of the synopsis for the Nov. 20 episode that includes Andreas and Andreas Von Strucker. Now, after all of that, a new promo offers the first look at the infamous duo -- in photos, at least.

The tease comes as Reed Stucker (Stephen Moyer) pays a visit to his father, whom it was revealed in this week's episode once worked for Trask Industries, the government contractor responsible for the mysterious Hound Program that turns mutants into the weapons of Sentinel Services.

"My father and his sister had the same abilities as your children," Otto Strucker (guest star Raymond J. Barry) tells his son Reed. "They were more powerful than you can imagine. [...] Protect them, son. Protect the world from them."

It's a dire warning that will undoubtedly play into Reed's unease about the joy with which his son Andy uses his destructive mutant abilities.

Airing Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox, The Gifted stars Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker, Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Sean Teale as Eclipse/Marcos Diaz, Jamie Chung as Blink/Clarice Fong, Coby Bell as Jace Turner, Emma Dumont as Polaris/Lorna Dane, Blair Redford as Thunderbird/John Proudstar, Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, and Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker.
