Lady Jaye is reportedly set to headline her own solo G.I. Joe live-action series at Amazon.

According to Deadline, the Lady Jaye will be a standalone spinoff with ties to the larger G.I. Joe universe. Carnival Row's Erik Oleson has been tapped as showrunner and executive producer alongside Lorenzo DiBonaventura.

Adrianne Palicki portrayed Lady Jaye in 2013's G.I. Joe: Retaliation. There is currently no word on if Palicki would return to reprise the role in the Amazon series, or if a new actor will be cast.

The release date for G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes was pushed back a full year due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic keeping the majority of theaters closed worldwide. Instead of dropping on Oct. 23, 2020, it will now release in October of 2021. It serves as an origin story for the silent member of G.I. Joe and is the third installment in the franchise's live-action films, behind 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and G.I. Joe Retaliation.

The next G.I. Joe project in line is G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes. Directed by Robert Schwentke, G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Andre Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness and Samara Weaving as Scarlett. The film arrives in theaters in October.
