Prepare to see Brett Dalton like never before. In this exclusive clip from Ghostwriter Season 2, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum takes on the role of a time-traveling pirate who may -- or may not -- help main characters Chevon, Curtis and Donna track down their friend Ruben.

The "Ghost Castaways, Part 2" clip picks up as Chevon, Curtis and Donna strike a deal with Dalton's pirate, who wears some familiar pirate garb in addition to a pair of bright red Converse sneakers. He demanded his compass from them, so the kids gave it over. Then, with a snap of his finger, he summoned the Vermilion, his transforming time-traveling ship.

Although Donna was quite impressed with the display -- and the pirate's rat companion Santiago -- Chevon demanded to know if he would help them find Ruben. He agreed, but there was a catch: "Well, I would need something in return," he explained. When Curtis wanted to know what, exactly, that would be, the pirate simply said, "As with all things, my intentions will be revealed in time. Please, join me!"

Begrudgingly, the kids hopped in the Vermilion, which was presently in the shape of a convertible car. Then, with a spin of his compass, the pirate initiated a quantum leap, which left them screaming in terror. And that's how the clip ended, cutting just before they ended up in their next time period.
