The official Ghostbusters website was relaunched overnight to focus on Paul Feig's upcoming franchise reboot, beginning with those new stills. However, far more interesting than any photos is the prominent placement of "endorsements" from four key players from the original movies: director Ivan Reitman and stars Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson.

The quotes aren't exactly new; they're from remarks made over the past several months (Aykroyd, Murray and Hudson all have cameos in the new film, while Reitman is a producer). But they're clearly being used by Sony Pictures in a somewhat-unusual move to help reassure longtime fans of the franchise, and perhaps to respond to those who have heaped negative comments on the female-led reboot for more than a year.

Feig himself fired back at critics in September on Twitter, explaining, " I just suddenly hit the wall with the haters."

Arriving July 15, "Ghosbusters" stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
