Fresh off yesterday's surprise announcement that a new Ghostbusters film has secretly been in the works for a 2020 release, the upcoming Sony revival has released its first teaser clip.

Posted on Entertainment Weekly, the short clip takes place in a creepy, remote barn set to the iconic score by the 1984 original film's composter Elmer Bernstein from the film's haunted library prologue. As the score swells, supernatural ectoplasm is seen as well as someone tinkering on what's eventually revealed to be the team's classic ride, the Ecto-1.

Yesterday, Jason Reitman had surprised fans by announcing he has been developing a new Ghostbusters film that serve as a sequel to the first film and its 1989 sequel while respectfully ignoring the 2016 remake directed by Paul Feig.

While details are still under wraps if any of the original cast will return for the revival, the teaser, reportedly directed by Reitman, himself the son of original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II director Ivan Reitman, indicates the upcoming film will serve as a love letter to the classic franchise.
