Ghostbusters fans who fondly remember the first film's iconic Slimer will be delighted to meet what looks like Ghostbusters: Afterlife's own soon-to-be-memorable specter: Muncher.

Although he was briefly teased in Afterlife's first trailer, a new look at Muncher arrived courtesy of an episode of MasterChef Junior Spain. The rotund ghost is light blue and is slightly reminiscent of a tardigras.

While Muncher may be cute, original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman said fans should also expect some genuine scares. "The feeling that I've kind of held onto is that while it is very funny, it really scared me," he said. "It was really my first experience with a horror film."

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.

Directed by Jason Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd and Mckenna Grace. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 11.
