CBR can exclusively reveal the new IMAX poster for Sony Pictures' Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

The poster features franchise newcomer McKenna Grace firing a Proton Pack from the side of the Ecto-1. Given the size of the blast and the atmospheric surroundings, one can assume the threat in this third installment might just be on par with Gozer, as many have previously theorized.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife serves as a sequel to the two original films, ignoring the 2016 reboot. "I remember [Director Jason Reitman] calling me and saying, 'I've got an idea for another Ghostbusters. I've had this idea for years,'" Bill Murray, who starred in the original films and returns for Afterlife, said in April. "I thought, 'What the heck could that possibly be?' I remember his Bar Mitzvah. I was like, 'What does this kid know?' But, he had a really, really wonderful idea that he wrote with another wonderful guy that I got to work with, Gil Kenan, who made City of Ember. The two of them wrote a Ghostbusters movie that really brings it back to life. It really has the feel of the first one, more than the second one or the girls’ one. It has a different feel than two out of four."

As for the aforementioned reboot, Reitman said that although Afterlife is in a separate continuity, he had one major takeaway from the project. "I think that the remake proved, at least to me, the idea that the Ghostbusters could be anyone, and I expanded on this idea with Afterlife while always focusing on the family aspect and the history that was created by the original films," he explained. "Every Ghostbusters film has, up until now, been about the opening of a company, friendship through the window of a business. [Co-writer] Gil [Kenan] and I wanted to make a movie about family."

Reitman also recently teased a Ghostbusters universe, saying, "I can't believe that we survived this one. I want to see Ghostbusters movies from all of my favorite directors. And we hope that this sets the table for that."

Ghostbusters: Afterlife busts into theaters Nov. 19.
