Marvel Studios reportedly has big plans for Ghost Rider, as studio head Kevin Feige is reportedly working on a new Marvel Cinematic Universe project for the Spirit of Vengeance.

According to The Direct contributor Daniel Richtman, this version of Ghost Rider being developed by Feige and Marvel Studios will not be portrayed by Gabriel Luna, who starred as the Spirit of Vengeance in Agents of SHIELD. Luna was also set to play Ghost Rider in a live-action series for Hulu, but the project was ultimately canceled by the streaming service.

Richtman goes on to report that although there is also no word on whether this new Ghost Rider project will be a feature film or television series, it will not be the Robbie Reyes version that has already appeared in the MCU, which means fans could see the return of Johnny Blaze, who was first played by Nicolas Cage in 2007's Ghost Rider and 2011's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

In May 2019, Hulu announced Marvel's Ghost Rider and Marvel's Helstrom would join Marvel's Runaways and a planned adult-oriented animated slate featuring Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard The Duck on Hulu. So far, Ghost Rider, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard The Duck have all been canceled.
