Syfy has released an unsettling, and disorienting, new teaser for Nightflyers, the upcoming sci-fi horror series based on the 1980 novella, and subsequent short stories, by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.

Nightflyers follows eight scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on a journey to the end of the solar system in hopes of making contact with an ancient, nomadic race of aliens. They instead find horror aboard their vessel, manned by a tight-knit crew and a reclusive captain, as an unseen force begins picking them off one by one.

Anyone averse to strobes should probably avoid the 30-second promo, which flashes between images of dread and terror, and a creepy little girl, who rattles off a list of words -- blood, kill, hate, etc. -- with no little amount of venom. She probably means no ill will to anyone, right?
