DC's Geoff Johns has given fans an update on his two most highly anticipated upcoming works, Batman: Three Jokers and the long-awaited third volume of Batman: Earth One.

Speaking with CBR about what fans can expect from Doomsday Clock #12, which releases on Dec. 18, Johns also offered an update on his two upcoming Batman works -- his and Gary Frank's other project, Batman: Earth One Vol. 3, which has been years in the making, and his and Jason Fabok's Batman: Three Jokers, which planted its first seeds in 2015.

"Gary and I are already finishing up Batman: Earth One, Vol. 3, which we had started before Doomsday Clock," Johns said. "We're about three quarters or more done with that so we're finishing that up; probably finish that up top of the year, I don't know when DC will put it out. And then, with Three Jokers, Jason Fabok and I are on the last issue of that."

"But Three Jokers, Jay and I have been working on it and we're on the last issue now," Johns added. "It's three, double-sized prestige format issues. That'll probably be solicited anytime because we're near the finish line and we waited because we told DC we didn't want it to come out until we knew it would come out on time."

Johns went on to discuss the various delays in Doomsday Clock's release schedule, citing the book's scale, not wanting to rush himself or Frank and editorial wanting the series to begin earlier than initially intended.

In addition to the updates on both books, Johns also teased new projects of his that he'll be starting once Doomsday Clock finishes and both Batman: Earth One Vol. 3 and Batman: Three Jokers are released.
