Tartaglia, Ajax, Childe, or whatever other name he's going by at the moment, is one of Genshin Impact's most beloved husbandos. Perpetually smug and always looking for the next big fight, Tartaglia is number eleven of the Fatui Harbingers, but he was the first one fans met in the game during the Liyue archon quest.
Snezhnaya's infamously icy Fatui Harbingers have earned quite a fearsome reputation all throughout Teyvat, but Tartaglia is especially notorious. Even considered an oddity among the other members of the Fatui, Tartaglia never fails to stand out from a crowd in the best way possible.
10 Tartaglia Is Chaotic & Unpredictable
Tartaglia enjoys causing chaos and lives for the adrenaline rush of fighting. Tartaglia's very hard to read because he almost always has a smug grin on his face and carries himself with a prideful disposition. Nobody can tell what he's really thinking, and that's why he's one of the Fatui's most dangerous weapons.
Tartaglia also isn't as scheming as his peers in the Fatui. While other members of the Fatui would prefer to run on plans that they have been thinking of for weeks beforehand, Tartaglia is much more spontaneous and straightforward.
9 Tartaglia Isn't Skilled With Bows, But He Forces Himself To Use One So He Can Master It
Though players have to equip Tartaglia with a bow if they plan to use him in the game, he's not actually all that skilled with the weapon. He said that he's terrible at using it, but he forces himself to use one so that he'll eventually master it.
In the voice line about Tartaglia's weapons, he said that he's not at all adept with a bow. However, that's exactly why he has to master it. It seems like Childe is used to close-range combat, so mastering the bow would make him invincible.
8 Tartaglia Can't Stand Loitering Around
A character's idle voice lines can tell players a lot about them in Genshin Impact. In Tartaglia's case, he used the opportunity to complain about being idle. In his voice line, Tartaglia reminded the Traveler that standing around doing nothing isn't the best way to scope out their enemies, telling them that there are much better ways to do so.
It's fitting for someone like Tartaglia since he's always looking for the next big fight. However, it raises the question of whether or not Tartaglia actually knows how to take a break.
7 Tartaglia Was Friends With Zhongli
At some point, Zhongli and Tartaglia were close friends. However, Tartaglia didn't take too kindly to Zhongli faking his death, and he's resented him ever since. Zhongli still seems to think they're on good terms, even inviting him out for a drink on occasion.
Hilariously, Tartaglia has two separate voice lines about the Geo Archon. In one, he talks about how he looks forward to seeing Zhongli's full power. In another, he bitterly talks about how Zhongli assimilated into humanity and then talks about challenging him to a fight.
6 Tartaglia Loves Being The Center Of Attention

Most members of the Fatui would prefer to keep their dirty work a secret and hide in the shadows so that nobody knows where they're lurking. Tartaglia, on the other hand, makes every possible attempt to stand out from the crowd. He's theatrical, over the top, and absolutely ridiculous compared to other members of the Fatui.
Because of this, the rest of the Fatui sees him as an abnormality. After all, Tartaglia's behavior makes him and everybody else stand out like sore thumbs. Tartaglia's forced himself into the public eye, and there's nothing that the Fatui can really do about it.
5 Tartaglia Is A Reliable Ally
Tartaglia may have sworn allegiance to Snezhnaya, but he's proven himself a valuable ally to the Traveler. After tricking everybody and summoning a vengeful, centuries-old dragon to destroy Liyue harbor just for his own amusement, Tartaglia atoned for his actions by always being there for the Traveler.
Tartaglia is also reliable to the Fatui and always dutifully carries out whatever orders are given to him. He's especially loyal to his family, always placing them above whatever mission he's assigned. Tartaglia may be chaotic and unpredictable, but he definitely gets the job done.
4 Tartaglia Is Loyal To Tsaritsa
After falling into the Abyss as a young boy, Tartaglia was saved and recruited by Skirk. From there, he became one of the Fatui's most ruthless soldiers, pledging alliance to Snezhnaya and Tsaritsa. In a few of his voice lines, Tartaglia expresses utmost admiration for the Cryo archon.
Tartaglia says that Tsaritsa is actually a kindhearted person. In fact, he even says that her heart is too gentle, so she had to harden it and push others away. Tartaglia explains that her plight to steal the gnoses and take over Teyvat is simply to usher in a new era of peace.
3 Tartaglia Admits That He's Not One Of The Good Guys
Tartaglia openly admits that he's somewhat of a bad guy. It's an accurate statement, considering that he's part of an organization that's currently terrorizing Teyvat in the name of their nation's archon. Many of his voice lines prove his moral ambiguity and utmost desire to become the strongest.
In one, Tartaglia muses, "This place is pretty dead; by which I mean there's nothing to kill." In another, he says, "If it makes me stronger, I'll take it. Vision? Great. Delusion? Don't mind if I do. Heretical teachings from the Abyss? Sign me up."
2 Tartaglia Knows How To Cook
When players add Tartaglia to their Serenitea Pots in Genshin Impact, they should definitely build the Cottage Kitchen set. Tartaglia's a surprisingly good cook, and many of his voice lines talk about his passion for creating delicious meals for the people he cares about.

1 Tartaglia Loves His Family
Despite admitting that he's not one of the good guys, there's no denying that Tartaglia's heart is in the right place — at least when his family is involved. In his story quest, players met Tartaglia's younger brother, Teucer. Teucer really missed Tartaglia, so he made the journey from Snezhnaya to Liyue to see him again.
Caught off guard, Tartaglia asks the Traveler to distract his brother while he's working. After all, he doesn't want a young kid witnessing the gruesome nature of working for a powerful crime syndicate. In the quest, Tartaglia even calls himself the best toy salesman in Snezhnaya to hide the true nature of his job from Teucer.
