The trailer for Season 2 of the gen:LOCK web series has been released, teasing the return of the titular gen:LOCK program and its heroes, working to save the dystopian world.

Julian Chase, played by Michael B. Jordan, can be heard in the clip, ominously saying, "You know, at the time, I thought the other me was being figurative when he said 'kill these copies.'" The minute-long clip features giant robot-fighting action and the brilliant animation Season 1 was praised for.

The series sees The Union replicating infinite Nemesii, throwing them at the gen:LOCK team: Julian Chase, Cameron MacCloud, Kazu Lida, Yasamin Madrany and Val Romanyszyn. Each member of the team has a signature mech with unique features reflecting its respective pilot. The success of the show resulted in the release of a comic book published by DC Comics.

The show premiered with an eight-episode first season in 2019. Gen:LOCK features the vocal talents of award-winning actors including Jordan, Maisie Williams, David Tennant and Dakota Fanning. Set in a dystopian future, the series explores an action-packed tale of mechanized warfare, for which Earth's last free society recruits a diverse young team of robot pilots in the hopes of saving the world. Season 2 is set to be released on HBO Max this fall.
