According to Amazon's The Boys co-creator Eric Kripke, Garth Ennis offers input on every script for the TV series.

When asked by a Reddit user how closely he worked with Ennis on the series, Kripke replied, "He reads every script." Kripke went onto the describe the importance Ennis felt for getting the character of Butcher right, saying, "He gives me notes -- but 95 percent of those notes are on Butcher's dialogue. Which I'm more than happy to take. He really loves Butcher and feels strongly about getting him right, which is great with me!"
