GameStop will have a limited amount of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X systems in stock on Black Friday, which may leave some shoppers disappointed.

According to GameSpot, all GameStop brick-and-mortar stores will open at 7 a.m on Nov. 27 and have a minimum of two Sony and two Microsoft next-gen consoles for sale. The Series S will also be available, but its exact stock is unknown. It is also unclear if the PS5 Digital will be available. The consoles will only be available in stores, which stands in contrast to other retailers, who are limiting customers to online orders to help fight the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and limit public exposure.

Despite the two console minimum, many people already waiting in line are reporting lower numbers than expected. Some stores only have one PlayStation 5, while others have none of either the PS5 or the Xbox Series X.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X have been extremely difficult to find, with both consoles selling out almost instantly on their respective launch days. While sporadic restockings have occurred, those also only lasted seconds before selling out completely. In one instance, Walmart's website crashed due to the high level of traffic it received from those looking to buy one of the new consoles. While Sony plans to restock retailers before the end of the year, Microsoft expects the Xbox Series X shortage to last until spring 2021.

Despite the stocking issues, both consoles have been selling well. The Xbox Series X had a record launch day in the United Kingdom, selling 155,000 consoles on day one. The PS5 seems to be doing even better, with a new report estimating that 2.1 million to 2.5 million units worldwide were sold across the first two days of its launch. That is double the estimates for Microsoft, which sold an estimated 1.1 million to 1.4 million units worldwide. The PlayStation 5 also significantly outperformed the Xbox Series X|S in Japan.

Xbox Series X|S launched worldwide on Nov. 10 from Microsoft. Series X sells for $499, while Series S is available for $299.

The PlayStation 5 is now available worldwide. Its Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive retails for $499 USD, while the Digital Edition without a disc drive retails for $399.
