SPHINX AND THE CURSED MUMMY

One of the titles acquired by when Nordic Games picked up the THQ library, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a throwback to classic mascot games of the past. Originally released in 2003 on the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox, players take control of the demi-God Sphinx, who must find his way home after retrieving the Blade of Osiris. Aided by the mummified body of Tutankhamen, Sphinx blends third-person action-adventure gameplay with stealth segments. Despite being well-received, Sphinx languished in obscurity against other big titles at the time, such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Beyond Good & Evil. Despite this, it proved beloved enough to warrant a Switch re-release in 2019.

Developed by Eurocom and published by THQ Nordic, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy will be available October 1st to 15th for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

COSTUME QUEST

Over the years, Double Fine's Costume Quest has quietly become a gaming staple. Originally released in 2010, the game follows twins Reynold and Wren as they go trick or treating. The player chooses one of the twins to control, who must then rescue the other when a monster kidnaps them. Fortunately, the player character gains the ability to transform based on the costume they're wearing. Costume Quest has an adorable veneer, but at its core is a deep and engaging adventure game with battles reminiscent of classic role-playing games.

Developed and published by Double Fine Productions, Costume Quest will be available October 16th to 31th for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
