New Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Rains Ice & Fire

Game of Thrones Season 7

It may be getting warmer for the summer, but HBO has brought the chill. A new trailer for the seventh season of Game of Thrones has arrived, and with it proof that the threat of winter is all too real.

In contrast with the first trailer, which opened with Cersei pledging that she would defeat the enemies that surround her to the East, West, North and South, this new teaser has Little Finger advising Sansa not to fight in the North or the South, but rather in her mind. And he'd know a thing or two about mind games.

Sansa is front and center in this Stark/Snow-focused trailer, and Jon Snow reiterates the danger he and the Night's Watch have already faced. The central theme is that for any of these opposing teams to survive the White Walker invasion, they will have to band together. Oh, and there will be plenty of fire and plenty of snow.

Finally, everyone's going to be on the same continent for this reunion/war. They can fight each other, but the Wights kill everyone. As Sansa puts it, "“When the snows fall, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.” We can't wait to see who makes it.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16 with seven new episodes.
