WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for the finale of Game of Thrones, "The Iron Throne," which aired Sunday on HBO.

The finale to HBO's Game of Thrones certainly changed the entire complexion of Westeros with Bran Stark becoming ruler of the free world. One other key moment as the series ended was Sophie Turner's Sansa finally becoming Queen of the North, finally ruling over her independent lands as the Lady of Winterfell.

Now, Turner has opened up about what many saw as the triumphant conclusion to her story. While the Lady of Winterfell was considered as a potential candidate for the throne, Turner made it clear all Sansa was only concerned about was independence for the North; something she made perfectly clear even to Daenerys Targaryen when they first allied.

"I wasn't bummed at all," Turner told Entertainment Weekly. "Because ever since the end of Season 1, Sansa has not been about the capital or being queen. She doesn't believe she could rule and doesn't want to."

Sansa shocked many viewers when she seemed to be angling to rule Westeros after she didn't nominate Bran in the final act of the finale. However, she simply wanted the North far removed from the drama and politics of King's Landing. Bran eventually granted her this wish, which now made him the ruler of the Six Kingdoms and giving his home the freedom they had in the past.

"She knows her place is in the North and she can rule the people of the North and rule Winterfell," Turner added. "She'd probably be capable [of being queen of the Seven Kingdoms] with the help of her family and advisors like Tyrion. But she has no desire to be ruler of all of the Seven Kingdoms."

Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark and Kit Harington as Jon Snow.
