For better or worse, HBO's Game of Thrones finishes its massively popular eight-season run this Sunday. In anticipation of the fast-approaching series finale, HBO released two new photos from the upcoming episode.

The two pictures follow up on Season 8's fifth episode, "The Bells," a rare critical misfire for the show that featured long-time protagonist Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) burning King's Landing and the Red Keep to the ground. One photo features an unamused Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) standing in what appears to be the wreckage of King's Landing. In the other photograph, Daenerys stands proud, delivering a victory speech to her troops after torching the city.

Of course, the victory speech was teased in the promo for the episode itself, which aired after "The Bells" left viewers shocked by its fiery conclusion. The fallout for fan-favorite Daenerys' actions will play out in the finale, undoubtedly leaving the remaining core cast members to deal with the consequences. After the previous episode left so many fans disgruntled, many find themselves eager to find out if the long-running series will have a satisfying conclusion or a death by fire.
