Game of Thrones Fan Demands Season 8 Rewrite With Plane Banner

With opinions still divided over Game of Thrones Season 8, one outraged fan has taken his campaign even further by demanding rewrite via a sky banner.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a small plane was spotted over Seattle on May 22 flying the banner reading, "SOMEONE REWRITE GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 PLZ." The stunt is the work of Ryan Geddes, who set up a GoFundMe page attempting to raise $698 for 15 minutes as a joke. The banner soon caught the attention of the media and even appeared on Reddit.

Explaining his petition, Geddes said, "I made this just to send to a couple friends as a joke, not really thinking it would go anywhere, and then we hit our limit [for funding]." Geddes admits he's just a "casual" fan of Game of Thrones, having only started watching the show in January,

Geddes continued, "As disappointing as the lazy writing and rushed conclusions of the last season of Game of Thrones have been, even more disappointing is the lack of resources for survivors of strokes and brain injuries... So I would encourage any aggrieved fans who want to send a message to HBO to go and donate money to Emilia Clarke's charity at sameyou.org. If I can use my 15 minutes of stupid internet fame for good, I'd like to do that."
