Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are now a power couple in Game of Thrones' fantasy world of Westeros, but the Mother of Dragons' arrival in Jon's home of Winterfell may be a frosty one.

Ahead of the Season 8 premiere, star Emilia Clarke hinted that Daenerys' first meeting with the rest of Jon's family, including adoptive sisters Sansa and Arya, may not be ideal, comparing the encounter to the popular Ben Stiller comedy Meet the Parents.

"I like to think that it’s like Meet the Parents. It’s like: ‘I hope they like me. This dude’s wicked. It’s a real good thing we got going on. He’s the final piece. We’re destined for greatness and world domination is a breath away,'" Clarke joked to Entertainment Weekly. "I need to be like: ‘Can I braid your hair, Sansa? Little Arya, come over here, let’s play some cricket.’ So there’s that. And then, very, very quickly, it’s like: ‘Wait, is it just me, or do they hate me?'”

Comparison to romantic comedies aside, Clarke reflected the entire production of the eighth and final season upped the level of detail and attention, from camera checks to costumes and make-up, as the popular HBO series prepared for the end.

"Every choice, every conversation, every attitude has this air of ‘This is it,’" revealed Clarke. "Everything feels more intense. I had a scene with someone and I turned to him and said, ‘Oh my God, I’m not going to do this ever again,’ and that brings tears to my eyes.”

Season 8 of Game of Thrones premieres April 14. The HBO drama stars Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark and Kit Harington as Jon Snow.
