In true Game of Thrones fashion, there has been nothing but unconfirmed rumors and leaked shots concerning the upcoming prequel series, which is currently in production. While George R.R. Martin has provided a few hints about the setting of the series, the characters and events are anyone's guess.However, speaking of Game of Thrones fashion, we may have a clearer picture of at least one character: the mysterious socialite played by Naomi Watts.

A photo posted on social media shows Watts in an extravagant, bright costume walking down the Grotta del Turco in Italy. This is one of the few locations, alongside Northern Ireland, known to house a set for the Game of Thrones prequel, leading many to believe the photo is of Watts in full costume for the show.
At first glance, it would appear that Watts is set to play a Lannister, judging by the color of her hair and that her costume just oozes wealth. However, Martin has explained that the series takes place long before the existence of many of the great Houses that show fans are familiar with. That being said, while the Lannisters didn't exist 4000 years ago, the Casterlys did, and according to legend, it was Lann the Clever who acquired Casterly Rock -- the Lannister stronghold -- from the Casterlys.
Fans are speculating that the Academy Award-winning actor will be playing either a member of the Casterly family or Lann the Clever. The description of her character suits either one of these roles, as she is, "a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret." However, it'll still be quite some time before we find out what that means.
