Though Game of Thrones' final season was fairly divisive among fans, one of the most talked-about scenes featured Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) delivering a fatal blow to the Night King. However, Williams says that she expected a different character to end the threat of the White Walkers.

"[Kit Harrington] expected it to go [Jon Snow’s] way, too, and he even said, 'It was going to go that way. Someone told me in season three that I was going to kill The Night King,'" Williams said during an interview.

"And then, he read the script, and it was Arya the whole time," she continued with a laugh. "Yeah, I think it would’ve been too obvious. I’m glad that it was Arya, honestly. I think I had the best storyline of the final season."

Williams has been fairly busy post-Game of Thrones. Her current projects include the black comedy series Two Weeks to Live and the horror film The Owners. Williams also played a key role in The New Mutants as lycanthropic mutant Rahne Sinclair, code named Wolfsbane. The film is currently in theaters.

Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Kit Harington. The 4K UHD collection will be released on Nov. 3.
