Veteran British actor Richard E. Grant has joined HBO's "Game of Thrones" in an undisclosed role.

The casting was first reported by the fan site Watchers on the Wall, and subsequently confirmed by Entertainment Weekly.

Grant, whose long list of credits includes Bram Stoker's Dracula," "Doctor Who" and "Downton Abbey," joins such recent additions to the hit drama as Ian McShane, Max von Sydow, Pilou Asbæk and Freddie Stroma.

Watchers on the Wall notes there are numerous possibilities for Grant's role in Season 6, including Randyll Tarly, Areon Greyjoy, Lord Karstark and Smalljon Umber. Of course, we still don't know who McShane is playing, either.
