It seems 20th Century Fox's Gambit film is finally shaping up, with a director and a working title -- and now, we might know who the central villain is in the X-Men spin-off: Candra.

While recent rumors of the Gambit plot saw Mr. Sinister assume the role of primary antagonist, Omega Underground is reporting that Candra The Benefactress -- aka Red Death -- will also appear in the solo movie. The plot rumors did focus on Remy LeBeau's origins, which includes the Thieves Guild and Assassins Guild, in which Candra (AKA Red Death) controlled both in the comics.

Gambit is said to be the "Ocean’s 11 of comic book movies", with the titular character embroiled in heists over two periods of time. The film will explore his relationship with Bella Donna, who belongs to the rival guild. It's also said that it will jump forward in time to Gambit being hired by Mr. Sinister.

There's no word on who will play Candra/Red Death just yet, nor Bella Donna or Mr. Sinister, though Lea Seydoux and Daniel Craig are rumored for the roles, respectively.
