Gal Gadot has suffered many injuries while starring as Wonder Woman. The actor revealed during an interview that she spent the premiere of Wonder Woman in an operating room.

"When the movie premiered, finally on June 6th... I was in the OR getting my back fixed," Gadot told iHeartRadio. "And in this one, I hurt my neck and my shoulder."

"It just comes with the -- it is what it is," Gadot added. "It's such a physical role like the physicalities is another character I have to play, but it has its toll."

After filming Wonder Woman and Justice League, Gadot gave birth to her daughter, Maya. Due to her stunt work on both films and her pregnancy, she developed a hernia. During the six weeks of Wonder Woman's press, she couldn't sit or lie down. Gadot further revealed if fans look at some of her interviews during this period, they'll realize she was always standing.

Gadot described her roles in the DC Extended Universe's movies as physically demanding. She clarified that it wasn't her previous military experience with the Israel Defense Forces that helped her get through several action scenes in Wonder Woman 1984. Instead, it was her dancing background that helped her perform all the stunt work.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters and HBO Max on Dec. 25.
