Netflix has purchased the worldwide rights to the upcoming spy thriller Heart of Stone, which stars Gal Gadot in the lead role.

The film, which was described as being in the same vein as the James Bond and Mission: Impossible franchises, was developed at Skydance Media. In addition to starring, Gadot is also set to produce the film under her Pilot Wave banner with partner Jaron Varsano.

Heart of Stone is not the only film that Skydance has sold to a streaming service. Amazon Prime is aiming to purchase the sci-fi action film The Tomorrow War for $200 million, thought the sale has not been finalized. The film stars Chris Pratt as a soldier who is pulled from the past in order to combat an invading alien force. Skydance also sold its Michael B. Jordan-helmed adaptation of Tom Clancy's Without Remorse to Amazon.

Skydance had previously developed an adaptation of Image Comics' The Old Guard for Netflix, as well as the Michael Bay film 6 Underground. Greg Rucka, who co-created The Old Guard and wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation, is co-writing Heart of Stone.

Gadot is set to appear as a notorious jewel thief in the Netflix action film Red Notice, which also features Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in its cast. She will also appear in Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of  Death on the Nile.
