Fresh off the heels of Wonder Woman 1984, actor Gal Gadot announced a powerful new docuseries that she is working on with National Geographic.

"I'm so happy to share with you an exciting new project that we're doing in partnership with National Geographic, IMPACT." Gadot said in her Instagram video. "It's a powerful docuseries that tells the story of exceptional women making a true impact in their communities. We have stories from women making a difference from California all the way to Brazil. Following Gadot's announcement of the docuseries, the actor also released the first teaser trailer for the project. "So thrilled to kick off 2021 on a positive note and finally give you a sneak peek at IMPACT," Gadot wrote in her post. The trailer showcased beautiful shots of Puerto Rico, Michigan, California, Brazil, Louisiana and Tennessee, alongside six women who made their mark on those communities. At the end of the teaser, the tagline "Resilience can shape extraordinary lives" flashes in yellow and binds the stories together.

From National Geographic and executive producers Gadot and Jaron Varsano, IMPACT will be a six-part docuseries that follows six women from around the world. Through their stories, the series will showcase how these resilient women overcame struggles in order to achieve extraordinary things and make an impact on the world. Some of these obstacles include genocide, gang violence, poverty and discrimination. However, despite all odds, these women rose against the challenge to speak out and lead. No release date has yet been announced for the docuseries.
