G4TV has at last announced the premiere dates for the Madhouse-produced anime Iron Man and Wolverine anime series.

Based on stories by Warren Ellis, the 12 half-hour weekly episodes begin Friday, July 29, at 11 p.m. ET/PT with Iron Man, followed at 11:30 p.m. by Wolverine. Anime adaptations of X-Men and Blade will debut later this year.

Starring Adrian Pasdar (Heroes), Iron Man follows Tony Stark as he travels to Japan to build a new arc reactor that will provide unlimited free energy. But when the nuclear reactor is repeatedly attacked by the mysterious Zodiac consortium, Iron Man but gather his allies to challenge Zodiac and its mastermind.

Wolverine features Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia in a story based on the 1982 miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller -- the primary source for Fox's The Wolverine. When Mariko, the love of his life, is forced back to Japan by her crime-lord father, Logan vows to get her back. As a result, he's drawn into a world of corruption and violence, forcing him to team up with a young assassin named Yukio to cut his way through the criminal underworld.
