The gaming channel G4 made waves across the Internet when it announced a 2021 relaunch. WWE wrestler Xavier Woods (who also goes by the moniker Austin Creed) immediately threw his hat in the ring to be a host for the revival. And now he has the perfect backup.X-Men star Olivia Munn replied to Woods' original tweet encouraging fans to support him for hosting, using the hashtag #Creed4G4. "Need a campaign manager?" Munn wrote. Upon seeing the endorsement, Wood replied that "it would be the highest of honors" and asked Munn to show him "the way."
G4 was launched on April 24, 2002, and featured programming mostly aimed at young male adult audiences with a focus on video games. Among its programming, G4 launched two original series: Attack of the Show! and X-Play. Munn served as a host for the former, a role she would hold from 2006 to 2010. Other notable correspondents for the series include Nerdist's Jessica Chobot and DC Daily's Tiffany Smith.
G4 first announced its return via a video posted to the old Twitter accounts for Attack of the Show! and X-Play with the message "[w]e never stopped playing." It remains to be seen how the new G4 will be structured, as well as the content it will feature.
