The nature of the relaunched G4 has been kept under wraps -- until now.

G4 Head of Content Kevin Sabbe recently revealed that the new G4 will span multiple venues, including Twitch, YouTube and TV. "We’re gonna be everywhere on every platform," Sabbe told Variety. "So it’s a digital network, it’s a linear network. We’re kind of gonna be all over the place, and it will look different, but very much the same as what G4 was."

Sabbe also said the comedy sketches and the "general spirit of weirdness and absurdity" that ran through G4's original slate of programming would be present in the revival. "It’s a space where you can go and see that yes, games are important, they are fantastic, but this is the gaming culture, not just video games as the game itself, but as a culture, as a community," new host Xavier Woods added. "That’s why I think that G4 is gonna be incredible, and that’s the space that I feel G4 is gonna fill, is to make you feel that sense of community."

G4 recently held a reunion special for charity, which saw many of its former hosts -- including actor Oliva Munn -- return. During the special, Woods was named as the official host of G4 after launching an extensive campaign to secure the position.

G4 is scheduled to return in 2021.
