G4 will kick off its long-awaited revival later this year with the return of two fan-favorite programs: Attack of the Show! and X-Play.

A new promo video shared to the official G4TV Twitter account teases revamped versions of Attack of the Show! and X-Play, announcing a release window of summer 2021 for both. The promo features the shows' logos, set against audio clips from classic episodes. "We heard you," the screen reads. "The legends return."

Known for its focus on gaming, G4 (also known as G4tv) originally launched in 2002, ceasing operations in 2014. One of the network's flagship programs was Attack of the Show!, an hour-long live show that featured tech reviews, parodies, discussions about pop culture and previews for films and video games. Attack of the Show! originally aired on G4 for a total of 1,941 episodes from 2005 to 2013.

X-Play, a half-hour show of a similar premise, initially premiered as GameSpot TV before being rebranded as Extended Play, which was later shortened to X-Play. The show aired on G4 from 2005 to 2013. That being said, it actually premiered back in 1998, having previously aired on G4 precursors ZDTV, TechTV and G4techTV. X-Play originally ran for 1,378 episodes.
