As far as FX is concerned, The Americans is performing its secret mission quite well. The network is so impressed with the Cold War drama that it has ordered a 13-episode second season.

Premiering Jan. 30, the series stars Kerri Russell and John Rhys as Soviet agents posing as a normal American couple living in suburban Washington, D.C., in the early 1980s. The pilot earned FX a 5.11 million viewers, which marked the network's highest numbers for a premiere. To get viewers caught up on what's going on in the first season, FX will air a marathon of existing episodes on March 1.
