FX Announces Its Summer Lineup

FX has announced the summer premiere dates for its new comedy Wilfred and returning series Rescue Me and Louie.

Based on the Australian show of the same name, Wilfred marks the series TV debut of Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood, who plays an introvert struggling to make his way in the world until he meets his neighbor's pet Wilfred (Jason Gann), whom only he sees as a man dressed in a dog suit. The comedy, which co-stars Fiona Gubelmann and Dorian Brown, debuts June 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Louie, starring comedian Louis C.K., returns for Season 2 on June 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, while the seventh and final season of Denis Leary and Peter Tolan's drama Rescue Me begins July 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
