As teased earlier this summer, more Futurama is headed our way, but not in the way you might have thought.

Fans still suffering the heartbreak of Futurama's cancellations can step out of the suicide booth. Matt Groening's animated hit will be getting a new episode in the form of a radio play. That's right, the Planet Express crew is coming back (at least for one installment) thanks to Chris Hardwick and TinyCo. Hardwick's Nerdist Podcast will reunite the cast of the dearly departed futuristic classic September 14 for Radiorama.

Can't wait until then for the return of Bender's shiny metal ass? Futurama's mobile game Worlds of Tomorrow  has hidden sneak peaks of Radiorama to unlock. Or, you could just stare at the countdown clock website like a captive viewer of Hypno Toad.

While long-suffering fans of the 1999-2002 (and 2009-2013) series have gone a cryogenic sleep's worth of time without Futurama, this year's been an unexpected treasure trove. The arrival of Worlds of Tomorrow not only brought the chance of a daily virtual dose of Futurama's expansive universes, but also trailers and in-game content written by showrunner David X. Cohen and voiced by the original cast.

Radiorama will air in its entirety September 14 on The Nerdist Podcast. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is currently available for free on iOS and Android.
