The third season of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun! has arrived here in the Fall 2022 anime season, promising another action-packed adventure of wacky fun and creative action in the demonic Netherworld. This isekai anime is also likable for its wonderful cast of lovable characters, mainly protagonist Iruma Suzuki and his classmates and teachers at Babyls.

Iruma is a total underdog as the lone human in a world of powerful demons, but he's trying his best, and he's also having the time of his life with new friends and adventures in this new life. Best of all, this lighthearted anime is packed with humor, and Iruma and his friends all share a good laugh over their constant misadventures in their school days together.

10 Andro Jazz Is Always Up To Something

Andro Jazz holds a student badge in Iruma-Kun!.

Like many of his classmates in Babyls' so-called abnormal class, Andro Jazz is a troublemaker misfit who has unusual abilities and a roguish attitude. He comes from an entire family of expert thieves, including a powerful brother whom he looks up to. But Jazz must find a way to stand on his own.

Jazz tends to get excited, annoyed, or terrified easily, and his reactions to monsters or challenges are a riot. He may also amuse viewers with his sneaky use of his theft-based bloodline ability, allowing him to find the quickest route to another person's possessions and swipe them.

9 Caim Kamui Is A More Likable Minoru Mineta

Caim Kamui 1

Caim Kamui is a short boy who resembles an owl, including his wide eyes and his beak, which might remind fans of My Hero Academia's bird-headed student Fumikage Tokoyami, except that Caim ends to act more like a somewhat more wholesome Minoru Mineta. He's pervy, but even he has his limits.

Caim Kamui is a goofy boy who just likes to mess around and have fun, and like Andro Jazz, Caim tends to comically overreact to sudden danger, good news, bad news, and more. He still has some growing up to do, but he's also oddly likable given his punkish behavior.

8 Ronove Romiere Is Annoying But Kind Of Funny, Too

Ronove being flamboyant in Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun.

In some ways, the flamboyant, attention-seeking Ronove Romiere is a real pain in everyone's neck, but he's not a bad guy, he's just a demon teen who's starved for attention and adoration. In fact, he has a bloodline ability called Charisma that can force everyone around him to look at him.

Ronove keeps goofing off with his flashy antics and his attention-grabbing routines, which are both exasperating and pretty funny to watch. Ronove acts like he's all that, but deep down, he's just lonely and hurt, and that makes him somewhat sympathetic after all.

7 Opera Is Dryly Funny Sometimes

opera iruma-kun

The red-haired demon known only as Opera is a longtime friend of Demon Lord Sullivan, Naberius Kalego, and a few other adult demons, and Opera respects them all greatly as longtime associates. For that reason, and for duty's sake, Opera tends to be polite and acts in a dignified manner.

But even so, Opera finds ways to be dryly funny, goofing off with wacky visuals while keeping a straight face, which is bizarre in its own right. Opera is also prone to making witty comments about whatever is going on, and fans can appreciate that kind of humor, too.

6 Azazel Ameri's Tsundere Humor Is Pretty Solid

Ameri Azazel from Mairimashita! Iruma-kun/Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-kun.

Like Opera, the tsundere girl Azazel Ameri tends to take herself pretty seriously and acts in a dignified manner, which is only to be expected from a powerful student council president like her. She's not without humor, though. Tsunderes like Ameri can be pretty funny without even realizing it.

Characters like Ameri tend to act funny when they reluctantly show their nicer side in silly ways, and Ameri can also tickle viewers' funny bones with her hotblooded overreactions to all sorts of things. There was also the time she acted totally meek, including lowering her hair "ears" to look less threatening.

5 Clara's Mother Packs A Real Punch

Valac Clara's mother only briefly appeared in Iruma-Kun!'s second season, but this doting anime mom made a great impression during that time. Not only is this unnamed demon a devoted parent, but Clara's mother is also an easygoing, charming lady who is a lot of fun to watch.

Clara's mother is so lovable and funny when she takes part in the Valac family's own song and dance routine, and that's not all. She also comically slugged a giant monster with one punch, acting like an innocent mom the whole time. It was such a hysterical sight to see.

4 Naberius Kalego's Exasperated Reactions Make Him Funny Despite Himself

Naberius Kalego is the reluctant homeroom teacher of the rowdy abnormal class, and in many ways, he is Iruma-Kun!'s own Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead. Both are grouchy but well-meaning teachers who push their students to excel at all costs, and they are funny without even realizing they're doing it.

Kalego and Aizawa take themselves seriously, but they still amuse viewers with their stern, exasperated reactions to the goofy nonsense happening around them. Kalego is the perfect foil for outwardly silly characters such as Ronove and Caim, which makes him hilarious with the sheer contrast.

3 Iruma Suzuki Is A Nice Kid Who Takes Things Easy

Uncomfortable Iruma

The lovable protagonist himself, Iruma Suzuki, is a pretty funny kid in all kinds of ways. He doesn't take himself too seriously, but he does work hard to make everyone else around him happy and feel validated, which boosts his appeal immensely. Meanwhile, his humor comes from his outrageous reactions to everything around him.

Iruma never meant to be a class clown, but even so, he can make anime fans laugh with his wacky reactions to monsters or danger, and he doesn't mind getting dragged into all kinds of goofy nonsense. Funny things and silly people can't help but be attracted to him and get him involved somehow.

2 Demon Lord Sullivan Is A Funny Old Man

Lord Sullivan is really happy in Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun.

Even if he is one of the Netherworld's most senior Demon Lords, Sullivan is a kind and generous old man who is more funny than serious most of the time. He takes his duties toward Iruma and Babyls seriously, but aside from that, he can really make anime fans laugh with his wacky antics and his chibi form.

Sullivan has a flair for the dramatic, either bouncing up and down with glee or bursting into comical tears at the slightest provocation, and it's all ten times funnier in that egg-shaped chibi form of his. This helps remind fans that in Sullivan's own mind, he is a foster grandfather first and a Demon Lord second.

1 Valac Clara Is Charmingly Obnoxious

Clara being funny

Valac Clara is a total troublemaker even by the abnormal class's standards, and at first, no one could stand this loud girl and her destructive antics. But she's not a bad person. Clara was simply lonely because her energetic personality drove people away, so she's grateful for Iruma and Alice being her first real friends in a long time.

Clara can be a headache at times, but this unpredictable, whimsical demon girl is also a total riot. She has goofy, exaggerated reactions to everything, she plays in chocolate fountains, she creates wacky items with her pockets, and a whole lot more. Clara can steal any scene she's in.
