Popular toy and collectible manufacturer Funko is expanding its horizons. For some time, the Seattle-based company has released Pop! PEZ candy dispensers based on everything from Marvel to Star Wars characters. Now, Funko's line of Pop! PEZ is about to get even bigger.
On Thursday, the company announced its first wave of candy dispensers based on DC characters. The line, which contains four Pop! PEZ collectibles, features four fan-favorite characters: Batman, Joker, Bane and Harley Quinn.
What is perhaps most surprising is that most of them are based on the characters' appearances in recent movies. Both Batman and Bane are based on their designs in Christopher Nolan's films, while Joker's look is lifted from the 2016 DC Extended Universe film Suicide Squad. The Harley Quinn PEZ dispenser, which features the Clown Princess of Crime's iconic court jester mask, is the only one that seems to be based on the character's comic book appearance.
The DC Pop! PEZ dispensers do not have a release date yet. According to Funko's blog post, the collectibles will be coming to store shelves soon, but only in the U.S.
