Some of your favorite DC Comics heroes and villains are going primal, thanks to Funko.
Partnering with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, the collectibles company has unveiled its new DC Primal Age line of retro-style figures. With echoes of Mattel's classic Masters of the Universe series, the new line boasts a "retro-style barbarian fantasy themed" take on characters ranging from Batman and Wonder Woman to The Joker and King Shark.
The first wave boasts eight 5.5-inch action figures, as well as two "beast rides," and a Primal Batcave playset. To celebrate the launch, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, along with Funko and Amazon, gave away 10,000 DC: Primal Age Mr. Freeze action figures at New York Comic Con. Check out the first weave in the gallery below.

"We are excited to finally unveil this new retro line of action figures that pays homage to the unique design that we all remember from the DC comic books of the seventies and eighties," Funko CEO Brian Mariotti said in a statement. "It’s been an incredible experience to bring this nostalgic spin to the iconic Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC Universe in a true Funko fashion. The new collection is a great example of our strong relationships with our licensors who trust us to deliver our own take on their popular characters. We continue to see a fantasy renaissance in consumer demand and we look forward to sharing this new concept with our fans."
The first wave of Funko's DC Primal Age line goes on sale today on Amazon.
