Before he co-founded Image Comics and created Spawn, Todd McFarlane was best known for a landmark run on Spider-Man, and especially for co-creating one of the web-slinger's deadliest foes in Venom. Now fans will have a chance to own a collectible that celebrates their rivalry.

Funko is set to release a new set in its "Comic Moments" line that recreates McFarlane's iconic cover for Amazing Spider-Man #316, which featured the symbiotic villain towering over a beaten and bloodied Spidey.

Amazing Spider-Man #316, written by David Michelinie and illustrated by McFarlane, featured Venom returning to New York to finally get his vengeance on Spider-Man. After encountering and grievously wounding the Black Cat, Venom finally ambushed Spidey as he was preparing to head home. Their fight took them to a meatpacking factory, where Venom dumped a vat of blood on the web-slinger and sent him into a panic.

Spidey eventually gained the upper hand by dumping a load of old machinery on Venom. However, Venom was able to find Spider-Man's address in his abandoned web backpack and used that information to torment Spidey, stalking his wife Mary Jane and his Aunt May.

The Venom vs. Spider-Man 2-pack will be available in two versions: a standard version and one with a Funko variant for Venom #25. Both versions come with a base to display the figures. With the set being due for release in May, Spidey fanatics will definitely want to pre-order this for their collection!
