In celebration of Marvel Comics' 80th anniversary, Funko has shown off a handful of new Pop! figures based on the "first appearances" of some of the publisher's famous heroes and villains.
The lineup includes Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Kingpin, a Deadpool with a brushed metallic finish, and a glow-in-the-dark Iron Man Model 39, each donning costumes identical to that of their first appearances in the comics.
As per usual with Pop!s figures, this new series has its fair share of store-exclusives: Kingpin is available as a Funko Specialty Series exclusive, Deadpool is exclusive to BoxLunch and Iron Man Model 39 is a AAA Anime exclusive.
While most of the designs for the Marvel characters are quite recognizable throwbacks (aside from the more-recent Iron Man Model 39), seeing Black Widow wearing a bright blue suit and mask is a costume design that even some of Marvel's most diehard fans may have trouble recognizing.
As this year's New York Comic-Con kicks off Funko has been sure to keep Pop!s fans excited, as the company has also announced a line-up based on Marvel's First Family, The Fantastic Four, and another that goes along with the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Marvel kicked off the celebration of its 80-year anniversary with the release of Marvel Comics #1000 and has kept the party going through collaborations with companies such as Funko, Adidas, and SiriusXM.
