For the past 25 years, Funimation has dubbed and edited popular anime series for English-language audiences. It also produces its own animated series with clear anime and manga influence. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the animation company is teaming with bestselling toy manufacturer Funko to create a line of stylized Pop! figures.
The newest exclusive #funiversary series @OriginalFunko Pop is here!— Funimation (@FUNimation) June 25, 2019
Vegeta from @dragonballz is making his silver chrome debut. Snag the second Funko Pop of our limited-edition anniversary series now! 🔥 https://t.co/cmFAYhyqUw pic.twitter.com/8a5hOvGcjX
The limited edition figure depicts the Saiyan Prince wearing full armor and his scouter to track energy signatures, with his tail wrapped around his waist.
After being defeated by the Z Fighters, Vegeta would eventually aid them in their fight against the interstellar despot Frieza, gradually becoming a more sympathetic figure, with occasional dips back into villainy. He and the series' main protagonist, Goku, would become frenemies as they fought and trained together into Dragon Ball Super, reaching near-matching levels of power, their lengthy rivalry now behind them.
Newly dubbed episodes of Dragon Ball Super air on Saturdays at 11 pm ET/PT on Adult Swim.
