My Hero Academia is a superhero action anime series whose many characters prove themselves in one battle after another. By most shonen standards, the fight scenes in My Hero Academia are short and sweet, so characters like Izuku Midoriya and his classmates can fight a wide variety of battles without slowing down the narrative too much.

Most of Izuku's best fights as well-known, while his classmates like Shoto Todoroki and Fumikage Tokoyami, have fought plenty of exciting battles of their own. Fumikage doesn't always win, but he's working hard to get even stronger, and he has many victories to his name. He has come a long way as class 1-A's fallen angel hero, and may go further still before the story is done.

Fumikage Tokoyami didn't stand out much in this particular battle, since the scenes focused mostly on Izuku Midoriya and his new ally Ochaco Uraraka instead. But even so, Fumikage took part in this battle and passed the test, given how he ended up in class 1-A with Izuku.

It's easy to imagine Fumikage demolishing the test robots with the quick-moving, hard-hitting Dark Shadow. Fumikage, like Shoto, Bakugo, and even Yuga, has the perfect Quirk to easily destroy large foes like those test robots to score some serious points.

9 Fumikage Vs Katsuki Bakugo

In the single-elimination tournament of the UA sports festival, Fumikage made it to the semi-finals, meaning he fought three battles before getting eliminated himself. His worst performance was the match he lost, which pitted him against the tournament's overall winner, Katsuki Bakugo.

Fumikage fought hard, but the odds were against him since the intense light from Bakugo's explosions greatly weakened Dark Shadow. Eventually, Bakugo had Fumikage cornered, and the latter wisely conceded to cut his losses and avoid straining Dark Shadow too much.

8 Fumikage & Classmates Vs Moonfish

The League of Villains' vanguard team launched a daring raid on class 1-A's training camp. While Izuku fought the terrifying Muscular, Fumikage and his classmates Shoto and Bakugo confronted a creepy, leather-clad villain known only as Moonfish.

Moonfish's tooth elongation Quirk made him a powerful foe, and in the darkness of night, Fumikage's Dark Shadow went wild. He did some damage, but in the end, he needed his classmates to help him restrain his Quirk and defeat Moonfish properly. Good thing Fumikage has so many friends to support him.

7 Fumikage & Classmates Vs Many Other Students

This is another battle where Fumikage Tokoyami didn't steal the spotlight or deal the final blow, but he did contribute to the team's effort, and that is good enough. During the provisional hero license exam, class 1-A found itself fighting every other school's students, making for some truly tense battles.

Near the exam's end, Fumikage and his classmates rallied to score enough points at the last minute, and they succeeded. Fumikage did his part, knocking out a few rival students to score some points and make it to the exam's second, and final, phase.

6 Fumikage & Classmates Vs Pixie-Bob's Golems

My Hero Academia, One Of Pixie-Bobs Ground Golems

Class 1-A had to fight hard just to earn the right to visit the training campground. All twenty students were dropped into a forest, where they had to battle with Pixie-Bob's Quirk for hours on end. Pixie-Bob's Quirk allowed her to create animal-shaped golems from dirt, meaning she could make an army out of thin air.

Nearly all of class 1-A's students took turns taking the spotlight in this fight, such as Momo Yaoyorozu with her cannons and the Ochaco-Tsuyu combo. Fumikage also did his part, smashing Pixie-Bob's dirt golems with Dark Shadow to help his class pass this unexpected first test.

5 Fumikage Vs Momo Yaoyorozu

Fumikage may have lost to Bakugo in this sports festival tournament, but he did quite well in the two battles before that. In fact, Fumikage's first two battles were so easy, he barely had a chance to show off what he can really do — but at least he showed some proper restraint in those uneven fights.

Fumikage's first match pitted him against Momo, who is far more effective as a support hero than as a duelist. Fumikage knew that, so he used just enough force to push Momo out of the arena's boundaries without getting carried away. Momo was dismayed, but at least she didn't get hurt.

4 Fumikage Vs Mina Ashido

Fumikage's second battle involved the graceful acid hero Mina Ashido, who had handily defeated the ranged fighter Yuga Aoyama in the first round. Mina tried the same thing against Fumikage, but she was hopelessly outmatched, even with her ranged acid attacks.

Fumikage stood in place, guiding Dark Shadow all over the battlefield while weaving through Mina's acid attacks. Then, Dark Shadow firmly pushed Mina right out of bounds, taking her out of the fight while also not doing any serious harm. Another easy victory for Fumikage.

3 Fumikage & Tsuyu Asui Vs Ectoplasm

Class 1-A's students eventually faced off against their own teachers in pairs, and one of the earlier battles involved Fumikage teaming up with the frog hero Tsuyu Asui. Their opponent was the trenchcoat-wearing Ectoplasm, a math teacher who could create clones of himself.

Fumikage and Tsuyu ended up nearly getting captured, but with Tsuyu's aid, Fumikage turned it all around. With the power of Dark Shadow, Fumikage turned the tables on Ectoplasm and secured the handcuffs on that teacher's peg leg, securing victory for him and Tsuyu.

2 Fumikage & Team Vs Other Cavalry Teams

The UA sports festival had an exciting cavalry sequence where the students formed teams of four, with each team having a headband-wearing leader and three supporters. Izuku was all alone at first, but then Ochaco graciously joined him, as did Mei Hatsume. Then Fumikage joined too, and the team was ready.

Fumikage was the team's main damage dealer with Dark Shadow while Ochaco and Mei handled the team's mobility. At the last second, Fumikage's Quirk swiped a few headbands to score enough points for victory, and for that, Izuku owed Fumikage a serious favor.

1 Fumikage & Teammates Vs Class 1-B's Team

Remarkably, Fumikage Tokoyami's best fight was one that he lost. He and his teammates took part in the joint training arc's second battle, where Fumikage went up against class 1-B's Shihai Kuroiro. It was a tough fight, but then Fumikage turned things around with Momo's aid. Fumikage pushed himself to new heights with his Dark Fallen Angel move and Momo's night-vision goggles.

Fumikage overpowered and briefly captured both Shihai and Kinoko Komori, only to succumb to Kinoko's sneaky mushroom attack. If Fumikage had knocked her out, he would have easily won. Aside from that slight mistake, Fumikage performed well, and it showed how much he had learned from Hawks.
