In Fullmetal Alchemist, there's no shortage of amazing women to fawn over and, at times, even be a little terrified by. Nonetheless, the girls of the anime made a strong impact on fans back when the show was released and continue to do so until this day.
Though all of the women deserve all the credit in the world for their contributions to the series, one of the first that comes to mind has to be Riza Hawkeye, the right-hand and eventual eyes of Roy Mustang. Today, let's take a look at 10 Riza Hawkeye cosplay that seem straight from the show.
10 His Watchful Eye
Riza and Roy make quite the powerful duo, even though it can at times feel like Hawkeye makes up for some of Roy's emotional and logical shortcomings. However, this sort of relationship tends to be rather popular, and it certainly is in their case.
Haruhi-tyan makes for a tremendous Riza, and with the way Roy's looking over his shoulder with his gloved raised, this photo gives off the feeling that this is an intimate moment.

It's no secret to fans of the show that underneath Riza's uniform hides the secrets of her father's alchemy, which Roy used to learn and study from after he passed.
It is rare to see this recreated by fans, which is what makes this rendition by val.e_in_wonderland so great. Even if it's editing and not a real fake tattoo job, that doesn't take away from the impressiveness.
8 The Queen Chess Piece
With how iconic a duo Mustang makes partnered with Hawkeye, it really is no surprise that they're typically seen together in photoshoots.
These two give off an intimidating air, whereas Roy is slightly smugger simply because he knows Hawkeye will make sure no one can get close to them. Maebe_dont really does a fantastic job here, as all aspects of both of the characters get nailed perfectly.
7 Waiting By Water
This next photo features the more patient side of Riza as she sits at the edge of a water fountain. As she gives off the vibe that she's stuck waiting for someone, it can only be assumed that it's the Colonel...again. At least, Riza never seems to mind the wait to be at his side once again.
Mr.maidancosplay does a great job recreating her here, and the caption of her "social distancing herself from Roy" is cute and fitting for the current times.
6 Defensive Shot
Shots that give off the atmosphere of being mid-combat are always welcome, and this beautiful shot of neontenshi's Riza is no exception.
With piercing eyes narrowed in on her off-screen target, we can't help but feel just a little bad for the poor soul on the other side of her pinpoint accurate trigger finger. Her wig looks incredibly accurate, too, which can sometimes be hard to pull off with a hairstyle like Riza's.
5 Reminiscing In A Moment Of Peace
It isn't often that Riza actually gets a real moment to rest. It could even be argued that she's on her feet almost as often as the titular brothers themselves, which is certainly saying something.
It's nice to see a shot where Riza appears to be enjoying a moment of downtime to herself, like in this great shot by breaker_0f_chains. Her costume and wig are incredibly accurate, and her expression is both beautiful and does a wonderful job at capturing Riza's more quiet and introspective character when outside of combat.
4 Steely Protector
Always a sharp-shot and quick to rest her finger on the trigger if need be, the pose that sunshine.thunder decides to strike in her Riza shot is perfectly fitting.
Shooting an incredibly no-nonsense look over her shoulder with her trusty handgun at the ready, everything about this shot does Riza justice and is a joy to look at, including the scenery.
3 Only Shot Required
Next up on the list is another Hawkeye and Mustang duo, and everything about these two when it comes to comparing them to their on-screen counterparts is just excellent. Rizahawkeye89, who is fittingly named, and her partner deserve all the credit in the world for their wonderful cosplay.
It's also great to see Hawkeye in her glasses, as it's a look that she only rocks very briefly as part of a disguise but one that fits her well.
2 Double-Shot Dame
Next up is a version of Riza that has slightly shorter hair, as can be seen back when Roy was still undergoing his training. And while it's great in canon that she ended up growing it out, it's also a joy to get to see cosplayer representation of a lesser-seen Riza look, and pastelscout.cos does an absolutely wonderful job here.
Everything looks great, from her costume and wig down to the expression, and the dual guns are incredibly threatening.
1 Hawkeye Against The Fuhrer
Hawkeye's devotion to her Colonel, combined with all of the hardships the two face together, make her an incredibly loved character and one of the strongest in the series outside of physical strength.
Riza's willingness to go against even the military she "serves" if that's what the Colonel's orders dictate is an admirable character trait, as Mustang was the reason she joined anyway. Switchycosplay and grunol_von_panzer do an absolutely perfect job at recreating their characters.
