Fanart is one of the best ways to show your appreciation of a series. Or perhaps we’re just biased since we adore looking through fan art collections. No matter how you feel about fan art, you’re going to love what we’ve got to show you here.RELATED: Fullmetal Alchemist: The 10 Worst Episodes, According to IMDbAnd that goes doubly so if you’re a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist. Or more specifically, if you adore the Homunculi in the series as much as we do. They’re underrated characters, not getting nearly as much love as they deserve. And that’s perhaps the reason why we wanted to compile a few of our favorite pieces here for your enjoyment. We hope you adore these pieces as much as we do.

10 10. Beastly Sloth

This beastly version of Sloth is not a homunculus you'll want to be crossing. Then again, ticking any of them off actually sounds like a horribly bad idea, but that's hardly the point.

This bit of fanart by R. Chan is terrifying and perfectly showcases all of the reasons why the homunculi are completely unnatural and otherworldly. And why one should do everything in their power to stay out of their path. We especially love the color palette and surprising amount of muscle definition shown on Sloth's body. And the eye effect is also a nice touch.

9 9. Black And White Group Portrait

Fanart by Mannequin-atelier

This black and white portrait of all of the homunculi together is truly striking, showing off each and every one of the homunculi we've come to know during the Fullmetal Alchemist series. There really is something about seeing them all together like this, isn't there?

This bit of fanart was done by mannequin-atelier, and we're just blown away by all of the details shown. While the artist very clearly showed off their personal style, there's still no doubt about who each and every one of the characters represented is.

8 8. Compelling Lust

Wow. This version of Lust is simply stunning! If not for those terrifying claws and red eyes, we might just have forgotten that she isn't exactly human. Lilit did a wonderful job of creating this brilliant fanart.

We especially love the colorful backdrop and the way the artist showed the hair being affected by such a dynamic light source. This is an artist that knows what they're doing. And we would just love to see more artwork from them.

7 7. A Dynamic Crew

Fanart by Ioshik

And here's another view of all of the homunculi in one place. And holy cow, ioshik's work is really blowing us out of the water with this piece. We love that each homunculi has a chance to show their personality in the way they're looking at the camera or the way they've positioned themselves. It's perfect. And it makes it feel like an official portrait - not that any of this crew would actually sit down for such a thing.

Those eyes in the background add an extra level of creepy, one that gets worse the more you look at it. Don't stare at it too long. Or do, it's up to you.

6 6. Smug Greed

Flakesnpie's Greed is looking a bit smug, but if we're being honest here, that totally fits the character. He's the type that knows what he wants, and he isn't afraid about bragging when he wins. Oh, and he seems to find a way to win even in losing, so yeah, it all fits.

The eyes and teeth are especially good looking in this piece, though we're also happy with the coloring and muscle definition shown. It all looks like one cohesive piece.

5 5. Sultry Lust

This version of Lust is looking a bit sultry, but once again, that really fits the character, doesn't it? Arkuny has added a level of sophistication to the character, thanks to the detailed and beautiful art style they've drawn her in. If not for the claws, she would look right at home in a classic painting.

The extra details really make this piece shine. From the particulates floating in the air, to the lush looking locks. And don't miss out on those details shown on her sleeves - they're so simple yet very elegant.

4 4. A Gothic Family

Fanart by LorennTyr

It's time for another group portrait! Though this time around, the whole family wasn't available. The homunculi presented in this portrait are looking mighty fierce, however. LorennTyr really made these characters feel alive. And that might not be a good thing - not if you want to sleep without nightmares tonight.

The backdrop for this piece is especially striking, and terrifying. It's amazingly drawn and colored, and yet the eyes and other grotesque details make it a highly disturbing piece at the same time.

3 3. A Terrifying Greed

Fanart by Satchiken

This Greed by Satchiken is electrifying. It's so easy to think of Greed as being different from the rest of the homunculi, but that really isn't the case, is it? This piece is a harsh reminder that Greed is fully capable of messing a person up.

The color palette for this piece is what makes it truly stand out, even while the artwork itself is exceptionally well rendered. The decision to go with bright colors is surprising, but it really works with this piece. We just can't take our eyes off of it.

2 2. A Clawed Lust

Fanart by Sciamano240

We know, we know. Yet another lust piece. But in our defense, there are so many good pieces of fanart out in the wild! This one was done by Sciamano240, and it's simply amazing.

Lust looks like she just walked out of a steampunk or science fiction setting, with the smoke and pipes in the background. Then there's her face - she looks like somebody took a photo of her! We're seriously impressed with the skills being shown here. This is one talented artist!

1 1. Ultimate Shield

Fanart by flo94c0dy

And finally, we're going to include one last fanart of Greed. This one was done by Flo94cody, and they've decided to show off a particular skill of Greed's: his ultimate shield technique.

We love the way they've represented the shield going on (or off, depending). It looks so cool and dramatic, while being perfect for the character.
