After a huge box office weekend in November, Frozen 2 set another record for Disney by becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

The sequel to 2013's cultural phenomenon, Frozen, reached another milestone for the House of Mouse. The Disney animated film generated $1.325 billion at the global box office, surpassing the gross of its predecessor ($1.281 million) and Pixar's Incredibles 2 ($1.243 million) to secure the top spot.

The film has been setting records left and right. Frozen 2 had the largest-opening for an animated film of all time. It's Disney's highest-grossing, non-Pixar animated film in the U.S. and it had the biggest Thanksgiving weekend opening. It reigned over the U.S. box office for several weeks, beating the likes of critically-acclaimed films Knives Out and Ford v. Ferrari.

The film became the third highest-grossing movie of 2019 behind two other Disney films, Avengers: Endgame and The Lion King. Along with the way, it became the sixth 2019 Disney film to cross $1 billion at the box office.

In theaters now, Disney's Frozen 2 reunites directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and producer Del Vecho with voice actors Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Returning musical talents include Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
