Screenwriter Nick Antosca, whose credits include "Hannibal" and "Believe," will pen new latest  draft of  Paramount Pictures' "Friday the 13th" remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, the film is expected to utilize the found-footage technique that director David Bruckner ("V/H/S") is known for. Earlier drafts, written by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg , were said to explain why Jason Voorhees can't die.

This will be the second attempt since 2009 to revive the 35-year-old franchise.

"Friday the 13th" is scheduled for release on May 13, 2016.
