After releasing a social media teaser yesterday, 20th Century Studios has dropped a second official Free Guy trailer that changes everything fans knew about the movie.

The second trailer opens in a similar fashion to the first -- Ryan Reynolds' character, Guy, wakes up in his video game world, Free City, and asks his best friend if he thinks there's more to life than their day-to-day routine. However, this trailer seems to feature a different day; although some of the same lines are spoken, the scenes are completely different from the first trailer.

This new footage also provides the first glimpse at the world outside of Guy's video game. About halfway through the trailer, the scenes break away from the video game world and reveal that Guy's love interest is a playable character being controlled by Milly (Jodie Comer).  She is joined alongside Stranger Things' Joe Keery as the world races to unveil the identity of "Blue Shirt Guy" and save their game before the developers shut it down.

In Twentieth Century Studios' epic adventure-comedy Free Guy, a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.

Directed by Shawn Levy, Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 11.
