With less than a week until Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 alternate cut of Deadpool 2, opens in theaters everywhere, a new promo focuses on the captive Fred Savage.

Portraying himself, Savage has been taken hostage by the Merc with a Mouth as Deadpool regales him with the story of the film as a clear nod to the framing device used in Savage's earlier, classic film The Princess Bride. The actor uses the opportunity to ask his captor with questions of his own.

"Why the holidays?" asks Savage.

"Thought it'd be fun," shrugs Deadpool.

"Why PG-13?" shoots back Savage.

"It's a family film. Also money. Also Disney," Deadpool responds.

"Why do you think audiences will be dumb enough to swallow this?" quizzes the Wonder Years actor.

"Not sure if this level of curiosity is cute coming from a middle-aged man strapped to a bed against his will," answers the antihero.
