In honor of the passing of the great artist, I figured it would be worthwhile to show a sampling of his work so that people not familiar with him could see why he was held in such high esteem by so many.

I think his covers for Warren are probably the simplest way of showing his brilliant painting work, so I've chosen five of his best covers from each of the Warren series that he primarily did covers for, Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella. Plus, I've thrown in some sample pages from one of the few comic book characters that Frazetta ever worked on with any regularity (interior page-wise), the Shining Knight!

PLUS, since he gained so much noteriety from his covers to Conan novels, I've also tossed in the first three of Dark Horse's Conan: The Frazetta Cover Series covers!

Enjoy!

He was truly an artistic legend and he will be sorely missed.
