Actor Joe Manganiello met up with comics legend Frank Miller over the weekend, who gave him a special message from Batman."Anytime, anywhere, Mr. Deathstroke," Miller wrote Batman as saying on a signed Dark Knight Returns print. Manganiello's tweet reveals the picture was taken at this weekend's Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.RELATED: Deathstroke Solo Movie May Not Happen For a While

Manganiello was poised to be the villain in The Batman. However, director Matt Reeves discarded that script, leaving Manganiello's role in the film up in the air. Following his appearance as the fan-favorite DC mercenary in the Justice League post-credits scene and reports the studio is eyeing more films based around villains, Manganiello has repeatedly said his solo film is still in the cards, with the actor confirming the film's continued production as recently as July.

First appearing in The New Teen Titans #2 in 1980, Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, was created by Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. He was originally the archenemy of the Teen Titans, but over the years he’s also made a worthy foe for Batman himself.
